Bark About It

Recommended Toys

I have compiled lists of products that I really like. Not all toys/treats/chews are created equal. Clients are encouraged to contact me and ask questions if they are not certain about a product. When it comes to dog supplies in most instances you get what you pay for! These items can be found online but some are also sold at local small business.

PLEASE shop local whenever you can!

Enrichment Products/Toys

Some toys are designed for interactive play ( with you!) and some the dogs can enjoy without you. Depending on your relationship and training goals with your dog, you may want to limit what he has access to without you! If they can have just as much fun without you why would they want to play with you? Tug and fetch toys can be used in training, bonding, and exercising your dog. Dogs often enjoy play more than food! Other dogs may need to be taught to enjoy tugging or playing fetch.

To learn more about enrichment for dogs, I recommend the book “Canine Enrichment for the Real World: Making It a Part of Your Dog’s Daily Life” by Allie Bender and Emily Strong.
